Perform skilled trades work in operating and maintaining boilers and associated equipment of University owned property. Coordinate with contracted partners and University staff to maintain required regulatory information, coordinate required inspections and coordinate vendor support. Currently the anticipated shift for this position will be M-F, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Assignment requires availability to work weekends and evening shifts as needed and respond to emergency calls. Required to carry pagers. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Valid driver’s license. Valid City of Grand Rapids High Pressure Boiler Operator’s license or equivalent certification for 1st or 2nd class stationary engineer per State of Michigan Board of Boiler Rules. No additional work experience needed beyond what is required to obtain the City of Grand Rapids Boiler Engineer License or 2nd Class Stationary Engineer license.

Adjunct Faculty - Master of Architecture Program Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), and evaluation of student performance. While not required of adjunct faculty, the M.Arch program values the contribution of all faculty members through participation in program meetings and activities. The College is seeking candidates to teach in-person courses in structures, design studio, and/or digital representation, in Spring 2025. The Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales and marketing. The ideal candidate should be able to teach variety of sales related classes (e.g., Professional Selling, Sales Management, Advanced Selling, and Supply Chain Management) as well as other marketing classes such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Data Analysis, Sports Marketing, and Digital Marketing. Teaching graduate courses in sales might also be required. The candidate will participate in development and improvement of curriculum and curriculum delivery, assessment of student learning, service work including student engagement activities and committees, and engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. Faculty members have professional responsibilities which include advising students, participation in committees, keeping regular posted office hours, and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Clery Act Compliance Specialist Big Rapids, MI 49307
Reporting to the Director of Public Safety, the Clery Act Compliance Specialist serves as the campus coordinator responsible for compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. Working collaboratively with the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety and other campus departments, the Clery Act Compliance Specialist serves as the expert resource for all laws and regulations as outlined in the Federal Clery Act as well as laws and regulations retaining to the processing, retention, release, and disposition of department of public safety and Clery records.
