The College of Engineering Technology (CET) at Ferris State University invites applicants for a tenure track position in the discipline of Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology (EAET). This position combines relevant experience in electronics and automation for a new program in the School of Engineering and Computing Technology (SECT). The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach courses, as well as develop and teach labs primarily focused, but not limited to automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), digital logic and communication networks for automation systems as well as other courses in relevant technological areas. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in continuous improvement and curriculum development in accordance with ABET accreditation criteria. Interfacing with industry and external agencies to direct the growth and development of the program will be expected in activities such as senior projects, grants, and advisory roles. Successful Associate Dean candidates will have a significant leadership role in graduate-level clinical education with a substantial history of experience in curricular development and innovations, educational assessment, the latest trends in education and experience with accreditation standards.
