Summary of Position: Lead and coordinate operations, policies, and procedures of the Early Learning Center  
Position Type: Staff  
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education or closely related field as defined in Michigan child care licensing regulation R.400.8113  
Required Work Experience: Minimum of five years leading a structured early learning program

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Previous experience administering research based curriculum, screening, and assessment procedures.
Previous experience leading, coaching, and supporting adult learners.
Demonstrated leadership skills in Conflict Management.
Demonstrated leadership in For Profit Organization.
Master's degree
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Create and monitor on-going business plans to guide center operations in accordance with all regulatory agencies
Prepare and monitor operating budget and approval all departmental all expenditures and revenue
Research, develop, and submit grant proposals
Interview, select, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff
Provide in-service training and/or professional development as required through regulatory agencies
In cooperation with University Advancement and Marketing, develop marketing strategies, news releases and social media presence
Ensure all programs meet all health and safety regulations
Develop program admission, attendance, and scheduling policies
Research, develop, and implement program curriculum
Oversee all center-wide grant activities
Lead a program committed to embrace cultural and diverse backgrounds
Coordinate early learning lab practices with various campus-based programs
Reports directly to the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services
Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
